Car Knitting and Harry Potter.

Car Knitting

Last night I spent about an hour sitting in my car, knitting. JS was on a train to Devon and I arrived super early because the weather was bad and I didn’t want to have any accidents.

It was actually one of the best places I’ve ever knitted. There were no distractions, I had the heater on to keep me toasty, and I had a podcast playing to keep me occupied. The one downside was it was a bit dark, so it was a bit tough to see, but that’s OK. I got to the end of the piece I was knitting as the train pulled in.

I’ll show you some photos, but I’m going to be a bit coy about it. Can you guess what I’m knitting? I know a lot of people from Ravelry will know what it is.

Have you ever spent a lot of time sitting in your car just knitting?

Harry Potter

While I’m on the subject of Ravelry – I found a group called “Hogwarts at Ravelry“. It’s amazing. You get sorted into a house, and you submit knits that will help you in the Harry Potter world. For example, this is my invisibility cloak! (Giveaway here.)

Finished in all of its glory :)

These are some Quidditch Mitts.

BEAUTIFUL mitts.

It’s seems a bit silly – but as someone who misses new books and the world of Harry Potter, it makes me very happy. I’ve also made some good friends – we have common rooms, the Order of the Phoenix, lessons. I haven’t been sorted yet, but I will be soon.

So, if you’re a massive Harry Potter fangirl/fanboy, join me in Extreme Geekiness, and come to the group. It’s a good sense of community, and just a bit of silly fun to boot.

Much love,

Corrie xx

Post Script

I’m out! I love Harry Potter. My favourite character is George Weasley. Who’s yours?
