I know that a lot of people will probably be talking about this — so I’m jumping on the bandwagon. This would normally be a Friday Inspirations, but as I heard about it today I thought I should do a quick blog about it.
When London was announced as the location for the 2012 Olympics, Arts Council England commissioned 12 installations by local artists. One of these was the Lionheart Project, by Shauna Richardson, a crochetdermy legend.
I found out about it on the BBC during our morning news catch-up, through the following video.
This is the kind of story that really inspires me, so I thought I’d share! I love the recognition that fibre arts are currently getting in the media.
Here’s an interview with Shauna for you, beautifully shot and I love the music.
Much love,
Corrie xx
Just to say…I’m really loving how this blog is looking now :) Can’t wait for the new logo to take its new position pride of place at the top! x
