September Resolutions and August Recap

I cannot believe it is time to set my September Resolutions already. What is up with that!? I have so many ideas buzzing around and I’m really looking forward to getting going on some September knitting – so here goes!

Just a quick house-keeping note – John and I are moving house tomorrow (HURRAH) and the next few days/weeks may be a bit interrupted with photos of our new flat. Fair warning!

August Resolutions – Recapitulation

A lot happened in August – I’ve been signed off work with anxiety and depression issues and have spent a lot of time in bed. Onward and upward – some knitting did happen!

  1. Knit my MAL project – I failed. I was going to knit a hat for a friend but I got too distracted and depressioned. Bin this.
  2. Work on Icon Dress – I did work on it! I just never published that post I said I was going to – but here’s a snapshot of my notebook with the plan written out, and I will post my schedule one day.

  3. Work on Zigzag Jumper – Finished!! Find out more here.
  4. Spin ‘Splash’ roving – Another fail – my spinning equipment all got packed before I had a chance to tackle the roving. I will probably use this as a de-stressing mechanism when we have moved and I need a break!

September Resolutions

I don’t know whether I’m coming or going these days – so I thought I would take it easy and just give myself three resolutions that are simple. I have committed to no Christmas knitting this year, so that will not feature. I know, shock horror, right??

  1. Work on My Favourite Things KAL – this is an iMake KAL. You can find out more here, or wait for Wednesday’s post on this!
  2. Knit at least two inches on Icon Dress
  3. Decide what to do about Legwarmers – I cast these on using the leftovers from the Two at a Time Sockses, and having now worn those socks several times I am not sure about the yarn and I may frog them. If conditioning the socks helps with the issue of comfort, I may continue. We will see!

So, that’s it! Episode Two of the Plutonium Muffins Podcast is currently in pre-production, and should be up before the end of the week, so catch up on Episode One if you have not yet heard it.

Much love,

Corrie xx
