I am posting this Birthday post a few days late – we had some server problems, which hopefully not too many of you noticed, and Plutonium Muffins was down on the day itself! I did a quick search for “Birthday Cake” on Ravelry and came up with some blinding patterns…here’s a little review of the last four years.
Birthday Cake
In case you are wondering, the Plutonium Muffins birthday was the 5th of December – we are now four! I have been blogging about knitting for much longer, but in 2011 I decided that I was going to formalise everything into a paid-for website that I was in complete control of, having used Blogger beforehand.
The first ever post was this one. The web-monkey I mentioned was of course John, and before long I had launched into a full-blown blogging frenzy! There have been at least five redesigns over the years, and although I’m happy with what I have right now, there is someone working on a new logo for me in the background…my photography has improved slightly, although I’m still after a DSLR, and I’ve complete so many knitting projects that I quite enjoy reading back through the blog and refreshing my memory of my favourites.
Speaking of which, these ones are all up there in my best knits ever:
- Digger the Dog
- My first ever socks – still my favourite pair!
- Cadeautje
- The Icon Dress
- Water – an engagement present!
Not to mention the day my spinning wheel arrived.
I’m super behind on my planned blog posts, podcasts and updates at the moment – but I have Big Plans as ever, and the only thing that I really need is more time to get it all sorted out. Watch this space – my big bro and I are working on some stuff at the moment that will affect Plutonium Muffins in all the big ways, and I can’t wait to show it to you!
Happy Birthday us, Happy Christmas you – until next time!
Much love,
Corrie xx
Happy Blog Anniversary! Wishing you many more to come.
Thank you so much! You’re one of my most loyal readers, I love having you come back time and time again!
Happy Birthday from America – been missing you. I am happy for your success and look forward to seeing what the next year brings for you. I love the cross stitch stuff, but had really enjoyed seeing your new studio get set up too. Have an awesome December and a very Merry Christmas with your family too.!!

Thank you Kristi! <3
Happy Birthday to your blog…I think I missed mine this year…
I can’t forget mine because it’s my uncle’s birthday! Set up a reminder in your calendar and just get it to repeat every year :) <3 Thank you!
